Model Citizens: NoFaceGirl on Pornhub

By Pornhub | July 14, 2022

Since joining the Pornhub Model Program a year and a half ago, NoFaceGirl and NoFaceGuy have moved up the ranks, snatched a spot in out top-20, were nominated for 2 Pornhub Awards and won the Best Modelhub fan-voting award in 2019. So we decided to reach out to one of the most popular couples on Pornhub and chat about how they met, their work dynamic, how joining the industry affected their relationship, and how they balance it all.

What convinced you to join Pornhub Model Program?

NoFaceGuy: Pornhub was our introduction to the industry, so that’s where we started. I was actually watching porn one day and saw an ad for the Model Program and we already had quite a bit of videos. I had one in particular that didn't show our faces and I convinced NoFaceGirl to let me post it and she said, “Sure, why not?!” We thought, if we could make a little bit of money, that could go toward vacations and whatnot. Then, after a few weeks, that video kind of blew up and put us on the map, so to speak.

NoFaceGirl: It was very unexpected. Even to this day, we still have our day jobs. It's sometimes hard to balance the two. We thought about quitting and trying this out full time, but we both really love what we do and are passionate about our Pornhub content, so we’re still trying to balance the two.

Has your views of the industry changed since joining?

NoFaceGirl: For so long, I feel like I didn’t really realize that there was an amateur side to it. I always kind of pictured it as being a production where there were different actors and models and all sorts of different people coming in. I didn’t realize that there was this more intimate little niche where there are couples and amateurs performers; this community where everyone respects each other because there’s an understanding that it takes a lot of time and effort to stay in touch with fans and come up with good ideas for content. NoFaceGuy and I often get into ruts where we’re like, “What do we come up with next?”  So there’s a lot of respect for everybody who does this. I’ve learned how nice people are in the community and everyone we’ve interacted with was so supportive, loving, and willing to give advice or suggestions.

NoFaceGuy: We have such a small production setup, so I really admire people who change their whole room to make it more interesting. We change the bedsheets and think, “We’ll put on the blue bedsheets and it’ll look a little different.” I didn’t realize at first how much goes into filming.

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about the amateur porn industry you wish you could shed light on and change?

NoFaceGirl: In general, I feel like the main thing I would want to change is how it’s still so taboo. I wish this could be something that could be shared with everybody and we wouldn’t have worry about our colleagues finding out about it. I wish it would just be normalized and for society to be more sex-positive so it wouldn’t be such a big deal.

You were nominated for two Pornhub Awards and won the Best Modelhub for fan-voting award in 2019. What were your thoughts when you saw the nominations and won an award?

NoFaceGirl: It was really exciting! I didn’t have high hopes that we would win anything, so it was cool that we won the Modelhub category. I think the most exciting part, though, was watching the live stream of the awards. I was really surprised when they announced our name and that there were so many people cheering for us. I didn’t expect that at all!

So on a more personal note, I think your fans are curious to know how two met and how long you've been together?

NoFaceGuy: We’ve been together for 3 years and met at a place called Dolores Park in San Francisco. It’s a place, before pandemic times, where people would gather in large groups, have fun, and day drink — back in the good old days. Anyways, I was slightly tipsy and I mustered up enough courage to walk up to her while she was with all her friends and that was it.

And how has joining Pornhub changed your relationship since then?

NoFaceGuy: I feel like it’s opened us up sexually.

NoFaceGirl: It’s always helped in the way we communicate. In some ways, we’ve become more communicative about what we’re interested in filming together and it’s opened up the door for us to just talk more about our personal sex life. We were already pretty open and freaky, but I think we grew a lot because talking about sex is very important to us now. We were able to really communicate about what turns us on, what we prefer, and what we disagreed on.

At first, we had a harder time communicating disagreed on how and what we wanted to film, so we had to learn how to navigate those disagreements. It was nice that we were put in those situations because outside of porn, we’re pretty similar and are usually on the same page, so it taught us how to deal with disagreements and we’ve gotten really good at it.

How would described your work dynamic?

NoFaceGuy: NoFaceGirl is the star. She just shows up.

NoFaceGirl: And NoFaceGuy is everything else! He comes up with the schemes and ideas, and I’m along for the ride.

What kind of scenes do you most enjoy filming?

NoFaceGuy: Whatever is the most real. We’ve learned that when we have to really plan things out, the video usually comes out kind of boring. But when we’re hot and heavy in the moment and I’m like, “Oh wait, let me grab the camera,” those seem to be our best videos. They’re not planned at all. So that’s what we’ve been doing for the last year.

What kind of advice can you give to couples who are new to the Pornhub Model Program?

NoFaceGuy: I have two realms of advice. The first realm is to be authentic and not to compare yourself to other models. It doesn’t do any good and it’ll drive you crazy. The second realm of advice, in terms of relationships, is to be honest with each other, to set boundaries, and to communicate — I cannot stress that enough. Hopefully that will give you better odds of being successful, or at least have fun with filming.

NoFaceGirl: I think it can be easy to get caught up in wanting to get to the top, compete, or keep up with other Models. It can easily start to feel overwhelming if that’s the mentality you have. So I think being able to take a step back and stay true to you and your partner and what feels authentic for you both is the way to go. When we first started, we tried to do a lot of custom videos and got requests for things we weren’t super into but were willing to try. Then after a few videos, we realized it wasn’t for us. So no matter how much pressure you may feel to jump on board with a trend, it’s really important to stay true to who you are.

What have you discovered about yourselves on an individual level since you started filming?

NoFaceGirl: I’m a total people-pleaser and kind of a perfectionist sometimes. So during the first year, I felt this really big pressure to be a certain way or do certain things our fans wanted. Over the past year, however, I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with being okay with the fact that I don’t need to please everyone because I’m not going to anyways. What’s most important to me is being able to share something with my partner that is real and it’s us. I want to be able to share our intimate relationship with the world, not a fabricated version of it, so it’s definitely been a year of authenticity for me.

NoFaceGuy: I would also say that getting back to self-pleasure has been pretty big for us. It’s cool to watch your partner please themselves and is very good insight to what you like yourself.

Do you think you’ll keep filming and producing content down the line?

NoFaceGuy: We don’t have any plans to stop because we have a really good thing going and it’s such a cool community to be a part of.

NoFaceGirl: We sometimes feel a little disbelief that people enjoy our content. I see we have followers and fans and it just doesn’t seem real to me. I’m like, “What? For little old me?” So there’s definitely a part of me that is always expecting that it’ll all die down one day, but we love doing it and we’re very hopeful people will continue to enjoy watching us and we can continue to entertain them.
